The Executive Board

The SRG SSR idée suisse Executive Board comprises the Director General, the Deputy Director General, the Chief Financial Officer and the Directors of the six Enterprise Units. The heads of the following departments also attend the Executive Board meetings: Strategic Service Coordination, Corporate Communications, Strategy and Planning, and Human Resources.

The remit and authorities of the Director General and the Executive Board are laid down in the SRG SSR Organisational Regulations. As the most senior operational management body of the entire Group, the Executive Board draws up strategies for presentation to the Board of Directors, and coordinates the implementation of those strategies. At Group level, it ensures that the programming remit is fulfilled successfully and cost-effectively, deals with all important business and acts as a coordinating and consultative body so that all of the individual units, including General Management, work together in the interests of the Enterprise as a whole.

The Executive Board is headed by the Director General, who is responsible for the business operations of the entire Enterprise, overall station and channel management, and the attainment of the Enterprise's objectives. The Director General creates suitable management instruments and ensures that they are applied. If the Executive Board is unable to reach agreement on a matter, the ultimate decision rests with the Director General.
